Juneteenth Programming: A Talk with Stagville Descendant Michael Williams
Join us at the Museum of Durham History (500 W. Main St) on June 19, as we welcome Michael Williams of Friends of Geer Cemetery and the Historic Stagville Foundation for a presentation on the connections between Stagville and Durham’s railroad history before and after Emancipation. The talk will feature a recently uncovered 1862 North Carolina Railroad record listing 12 enslaved Stagville laborers.
Free and open to the public!
