Join us at the Durham Farmers’ Market!

The Museum of Durham History is joining the Durham Farmers’ Market and the Black Farmers’ Market for the 2025 season!
The Museum of Durham History is hitting the road! As part of our Faces of Durham traveling exhibit, and with generous support from PNC Foundation, we’re joining the Durham Farmers’ Market and the Black Farmers’ Market monthly to bring history into the heart of the community. These pop-up events are FREE and open to the public, and we’d love to see you there.
When: Saturday, June 14th- Durham Farmers’ Market (Durham Central Park) 8am-12pm
At each market, you’ll have the chance to explore personal stories, photographs, and powerful narratives from Durhamites past and present. Faces of Durham commemorates people who have shaped our community, some well known players, and the lesser known as well.
Whether you’re stopping by for fresh produce or coming out just for us, we invite you to:
-
Visit the traveling exhibit and share your own Durham story
- Learn how to get Faces of Durham to travel to your local school
-
Chat with our friendly staff and volunteers
-
Learn how you can get involved with the Museum
-
Enjoy a vibrant day at one of Durham’s favorite weekend spots!
Want to go beyond just visiting? We’re always looking for volunteers to help us bring these events to life. It’s a great way to connect with the community and share in Durham’s living history.
