“Meeting at the Finish Line: Coaches Walker and Buehler” Exhibit Opening
In the third installment of our community-curated exhibit series, Meeting at the Finish Line: Coaches Walker and Buehler tells the story of track and field coaches Leroy T. Walker (NCCU) and Al Buehler (Duke). This exhibit will highlight the achievements of both coaches at the national and international stages as well as to show how their friendship brought black and white student athletes together at the height of segregation. The exhibit will coincide with the USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships which will be hosted at Durham County Memorial Stadium on June 25-30.
