MoDH is Reopening!

We’ve missed you, Durham, and are excited to reopen to the public with a special weekend to debut our newest exhibit From Tobacco Market to Innovation Hub: Durham’s Central Park Neighborhood. Join us on April 16th and 17th between 10:00AM and 5:00PM at the Museum of Durham History to check out the exhibit! The health of our visitors, volunteers, and staff is our main priority and we are taking every precaution to provide a clean, safe learning environment for our patrons. Some of the measures we are taking to ensure this are:

  • Providing online booking for timed entry.
  • Requiring all visitors, volunteers, and staff to wear a mask, per local and state health guidelines.
  • Screening visitors, volunteers, and staff for symptoms upon entry.
  • Limiting number of visitors inside the museum to FIVE people at a time.
  • Providing hand sanitizing stations.
  • Encouraging social distancing throughout the museum.
  • Disinfecting high-touch surfaces frequently.

Starting April 16th, the Museum will only be open Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00AM-5:00PM. We are continuing to monitor the number of cases and local guidelines and will adjust our operating hours appropriately.

If you have any questions, please email info@modh.org or call 919-246-9993.
