Constitution Day Program

On September 17th, the Museum hosted students from Voyager Academy and the Daughters of the American Revolution Durham chapter honored the 1787 signing of the United State Constitution. Students commemorated the signing of the Constitution with a bell ringing and singing of the national anthem. Councilman Charlie Reese made a declaration on behalf of the Mayor’s office and spoke the importance of the Constitution as a founding document and the role young people have in carrying forward it’s principles.
