Sixty Foodies to Enjoy Unique EveningPosted on March 17, 2015
The Museum will host a tasty event, limited to 60 participants, on Friday, May 1, to open the F is for Food exhibit, the newest installment in the Hub’s Durham A-Z series.
The evening will begin at Mateo Bar de Tapas as these 60 participant sponsors celebrate “food for thought” in Durham. Mateo, a 2013 James Beard Best New Restaurant Semi-Finalist, will host the gathering in their upstairs dining room with a special menu from their award-winning chef Matt Kelly. Dessert will be found a short walk away at the History Hub, where a private preview of the F is for Food exhibit will include a champagne toast and locally made pastries. Sponsors will receive special recognition in the exhibit. Tickets go on sale April 1.
Plan now to sign up for this one-of-a-kind benefit plus a rich look into Durham’s history of fabulous food – how it arrived, where you went to get it and how Durham’s table has grown since.
