The Museum of Durham History is heartbroken by the deplorable violence that happened at a LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando this weekend. Our thoughts are with all those who are mourning today. American history includes far too many stories of violence and hate; but also it includes stories of solidarity. We re-affirm our commitment to being a museum that is inclusive, trustworthy, and responsive to the Durham community.
